Activities

Each day during practice, campers will practice fundamental ultimate skills like throwing, cutting, and understanding space while playing.  With sessions coached by Union players and experienced coaches, campers will be elevating their game and challenging each other to get better.  Our focus is first and foremost getting better, both on the field as an ultimate player and off the field as a good teammate.  Depending on numbers, we will split up into different skill levels to make sure everyone is the right amount challenged, as well as combining for larger scrimmages at the ends of some practices.

For some sessions, since we know ultimate is taxing both physically and mentally, we will be taking a break from the field and engaging in some non ultimate activities, such as disc golf on Northwestern's campus, beach time, games in the shade, capture the flag, and lots more!!

After dinner is time for Schmooze, some scheduled unstructured time with adult supervision to give campers a moment to decompress from the day.  There will be board games available or options for activities outside.  After Schmooze, we will get the chance to convene as a group to do a larger activity before getting ready for bed.  Counselors will do their best to accommodate campers' preferences.
